## Door Installation in Lynn, MA | Essex County

About This Doors Project

Front door in Lynn MA: [**Coastal Windows & Exteriors**](https://mycoastalwindows.com/)
recently completed a dual-door security upgrade with energy efficient doors Lynn
homeowners love. The residence featured an outdated entry system that left gaps
large enough to see daylight through. A storm door barely latched closed. Our team
removed both failing components and installed a ProVia Legacy woodgrain textured
steel door in striking Coal Black, complemented by a matching Deluxe 396 One-Lite
storm door with crystal-clear glass.

Constructed with a polyurethane core and finished with sophisticated Satin Nickel
hardware, this complete entryway system delivers exceptional thermal performance
while adding distinctive character. The ComfortTech™ DLA glass and BetterVue screen
mesh provide visibility without compromising efficiency. As the [**#1 woman-owned window company in New England**](https://mycoastalwindows.com/coastal-windows-ranks-number-one-woman-owned-exterior-remodeling-company/),
we’re proud to deliver Lynn energy efficient front doors that combine beauty with
unmatched performance!

## Project Spotlight: Inside Look on Entry Door Installation

### Why did the homeowners decide to make the switch to entry doors instead of sticking with their old wood doors?

The existing entry system had deteriorated. The main door was warping, which prevented
proper closure while the storm door’s hardware had become unreliable. During winter
months, the failing seals allowed significant heat loss, creating uncomfortable
drafts throughout the front rooms and substantially increasing heating costs. An
outdated appearance also detracted from the home’s character with faded finishes
and mismatched hardware.

### How did the new entry doors improve the home after the old wood doors were removed?

After our [**energy-efficient doors**](https://mycoastalwindows.com/beautiful-energy-efficient-front-doors-entry-doors/)
installation in Lynn, the homeowners noticed a big improvement in comfort and appearance.
The carefully designed sealing system stopped drafts, keeping temperatures steady
even near the door.

The Coal Black exterior with woodgrain texture adds depth and highlights the home’s
architectural details. It also creates a striking contrast with the rest of the
facade. Energy bills dropped noticeably in the first month, showing the ProVia system’s
insulation works well in real life.

### Were there any extra features added to the entry door project?

This Lynn energy efficient front doors project included several premium enhancements
that maximize both performance and convenience. We installed a color-matched Heavy
Duty Closer on the storm door to ensure smooth, controlled operation regardless
of weather conditions.

The BetterVue screen mesh provides superior visibility and airflow compared to standard
screens while maintaining excellent insect protection. The security plate reinforcement
adds structural integrity at critical stress points. Satin Nickel ball-bearing hinges
ensure silent, maintenance-free operation for decades of reliable service.

### How do entry doors protect New England homes from harsh, unpredictable weather?

Our specially made entry systems perform well in North Shore’s tough maritime climate.
The 20-gauge steel construction is strong and resists dents and impacts that weaker
doors can’t handle. The auto-adjusting threshold keeps a tight seal, even as materials
expand and contract with the seasons. Our exterior door replacements in Lynn stay
weathertight during heavy rain, snow, and strong coastal winds.

### What impact do entry doors have on the home's look, efficiency, and resale value?

**[Front door in Lynn MA](https://mycoastalwindows.com/exterior-doors/lynn-ma-entry-door-replacement/)**:
Beyond the substantial energy efficiency improvements that reduce monthly utility
expenses, our designer doors create dramatic curb appeal. This transforms the entire
home’s presentation. The coordinated main door and storm door system creates architectural
cohesiveness that draws favorable attention. Indeed, energy efficient front doors
Lynn properties consistently rank among the highest-performing home improvements.
They typically return up to 97.4% of investment at resale according to industry
analyses. This combination offers immediate comfort enhancement, reduced energy
consumption, and a strong investment return!
