From left, Fredrick Otokunrin—soon to live on the first floor—Stephanie Vanderbilt, and Don Preston proudly held the latest check. The check supports the continued progress at the Grover Street house in Lynn, part of Habitat for Humanity of the North Shore’s mission.
Rain turned to snow on Saturday, but volunteers remained hard at work inside the house. Fortunately, weather didn’t slow progress—or spirits. The team stayed warm, focused, and determined to keep building despite the forecast.
In addition, the project received a huge financial lift thanks to former Lynn teacher Stephanie Vanderbilt. Now co-owner of Coastal Windows & Exteriors, Vanderbilt used her voice and resources to rally support. She helped raise $54,678.77 and presented the check to Don Preston, president of Habitat for Humanity of the North Shore.
Moreover, Vanderbilt’s leadership shows how one person can drive real change through effort, passion, and partnership. Her fundraising success will fund essential interior work on the Grover Street home.
Because of her support, Fredrick and his family are now one step closer to having a safe, permanent home. Moments like these show the power of community coming together with purpose.
Clearly, this isn’t just about materials—it’s about creating opportunities, security, and hope for local families. Coastal Windows & Exteriors continues to prove that business success and community service can go hand in hand.
With each donation, volunteer hour, and partnership, they help Habitat’s mission grow stronger. We look forward to sharing more progress from Grover Street in the weeks ahead!
