We custom-fitted acrylic tub is an exact replica of the customer’s tub so it will have the same exact interior space as their existing tub, however it will be raised 1/4“ due to the adhesive and thickness of the tub.

We never cover up a problem. We will never put acrylic over a wall that is not structurally sound. If there is water damaged drywall and loose tiles, we will remove it and do a wall repair and or replacement, before applying our new acrylic panels. Once the acrylic walls are sealed with our 100% silicone sealant, there will be no more chance of water penetration behind the walls.

I believe you are thinking of the inexpensive fiberglass tub and wall kits that are actually very easy to damage. We only uses the highest density weight acrylic that will stand the test of time. You can take a hammer to the rail of our tubs and they will not chip, dent, or crack.

Thermal Effects: Both warm and cold baths can help lessen pain and discomfort while improving the healing process. Warm baths open up surface tissues which lead to increased blood flow and circulation which helps your tissues heal, oxygenate and purge toxins. Warm water slows down your internal organs and reduces aches and pains. Heat also increases the production of beneficial body hormones and stimulates the immune system. Warm, moist air can open up  congested or constricted airways in your lungs, throat and sinuses. Cold water therapy is effective for sprains and swelling and other issues.

Mechanical Effects: The massaging effect of the air bubbles creates beneficial chemical reactions in your skin and tissues which leads to increased circulation, oxygenating tissues and expelling toxins. Water decreases your body weight by 90% so it relieves physical stress from your joints and bones, helping to relieve pain and discomfort. This floating effect helps relax the body, because muscles don’t have to work as hard and are given a chance to relax.

Air and hydro massage therapy help with pain management, relaxation, calming the nervous system, reducing stress, tension and anxiety.  It also helps detoxify your body by stimulating your lymphatic system and helps improve blood circulation. Air bubbles give a light touch massage while soft bubbles flow from the bottom of the tub to the top of the tub gently massaging your entire body.

Hydromassage therapy provides a more vigorous, focused massage as water sprays out of the strategic jets hitting specific areas such as your lower back, arms, hips, legs and feet.

Our tubs have a built-in internal pressure switch to control heater operation. This is very important as bathtub heaters will only maintain the water temperature that is put into the tub. Heaters will not increase the water temperature.

This is used for improving physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our central nervous system. A wonderful way to rejuvenate both body and mind.

This form of therapy balances a person’s physical, spiritual, mental and emotional energy with LED lighting design while creating a relaxing bathing environment.

Environmentally friendly, it removes dirt, odors and excess oil and has a massaging effect while oxygenating the skin. There is no scrubbing, rubbing, shampoos or chemicals used. The miniaturization and the removal of dead keratin with Micro-Nano bubbles improves dry skin.

MicroBubbles are 1/1000 the size of ordinary water bubbles.  They are small enough to get into pores of the skin. Their negative ions bond with dirt (positive ions) rise up taking all impurities out of the pores.

Bathtub soaking stimulates the contact and temperature receptors on your skin which promotes relaxation and stress relief. Water is a great way to detoxify the body and replenish it with hydration. Soaking in water can be great for the nervous system and for blood flow for our hearts, lungs and the entire body.

Bathing therapy is an easy way to treat inflammation, tendonitis, infection, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, bursitis, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, injuries, back pain, and other painful ailments. It is also well known for preventing them. Water therapy is great for rehabilitation from accidents, traumas, strokes, connective tissue diseases and even asthma and other respiratory related problems. Bathing therapy increases blood circulation, helps strengthen the immune system and gives you more energy. It also reduces the effects of stress, reduces pain, improves sleep, prevents headaches, improves blood sugar, lowers blood pressure and possibly helps treat depression.

Some contractors will try to tell you that a roof is simply about nailing shingles to plywood. This is simply not true. Shingles are a part of roofing systems. Many people equate a new roof with new shingles, but there is much more to it if you want to have the right protection for your home. We install roofing systems, with all the parts designed and installed to work together.

We believe a great roof starts with using the best quality roofing materials. That’s why we use GAF, they simply manufacture the highest quality roofing materials and the most top rated roofing manufacturer in the USA.  GAF has a well-earned a reputation for being consistently more innovative than other roof manufacturers.

Roofing needs to be a complete system that incorporates 6 major parts that are vital to the longevity and the functionality of the roof.

  • Ridge and Soffit vents that allow your home to breath. It has to protect your home from the elements while letting air flow through to properly ventilate the space.
  • Leak Barrier Protection creates a seal that helps keep water out at the most vulnerable areas of your roof. Coastal does 6’ of protection compared to others at 3’.
  • Synthetic Roof Deck Protection is a permeable synthetic second layer of protection for your home that prevents roof rot and 600 times stronger than felt.
  • Starter Strip Shingles is important as they increase the longevity of the roofing system with prevention of shingle blow off up to 130 mph.
  • Lifetime Shingles is made to protect your home with the best combination of weight and performance that modern technology can deliver.  No wonder why its America’s #1 shingle!
  • Lifetime Ridge Cap Shingles is last and must be done correctly to prevent leaking.

At the end of your roofing job, GAF (the manufacturer) sends a factory representative to do a 40-point inspection to ensure that we have installed the entire roofing system properly. To best understand full roofing systems as well as their individual components, please visit this page.

Air infiltration is a big deal, and the most energy efficient windows are equipped with features such as weather-stripping, heavy duty airlocks, and other features to block out drafts. To add perspective, consider that the industry average cfm rating of .30 allows the equivalent of 24 soda cans of air per minute of cold air transferring through your windows in the winter. Compare that to Soft-Lite at just .8 soda cans of air per minute, the lowest air infiltration rate in the industry. If windows account for 10% of air leakage in a home, it’s important to have the lowest air infiltrated window on the market.

Absolutely!  Windows & doors account for 21% air leakage in a home so make sure you get the best products in the industry to help make your home energy-efficient and save on your energy bills.

  • Our Soft-Lite Windows & sliding glass doors are designed for water and air impact to resist water and wind and that ultimately keeps your home warm, comfortable, and dry. Wind resistance is also tested by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association with a continuous stream of pressurized air at 25 miles per hour. The industry maximum for air infiltration for replacement windows is 0.30 cfm (cubic feet per minute) in order for a window to qualify as Energy Star Certified. The best windows on the market have an air infiltration rating as low as 0.01 cfm at 25 miles per hour. This is 23 times more efficient than most major wood window manufacturers such as Pella, Anderson, Marvin and Jeld-Win.
  • Our ProVia Entry Doors come with energy efficient Q-lon Weather Stripping. This protection runs along the top and sides of the door and interlocks for the most efficient seal and keeps moisture, air and dirt out of your home.

  • Get an experienced installer.
  • Carefully consider the warranty.
  • Choose the type of siding that fits your needs.
  • If you’re selling the house, make sure the warranty is transferrable.
  • Identify the types of elements your home experiences on a daily basis to pinpoint which type of siding is right for you.
  • Have the estimator look for rot in the home. This could be a sign of more serious problems.

Yes, but if we tie into anybody’s work other than our own, we cannot supply the same warranty as a whole roofing system. To insure the ridge vents are working in conjunction with the soffit vents and that the whole roof is working properly, the products on the roof need to match up.

There is no way to answer this without looking at it. But here is the great thing about working with Coastal Windows & Exteriors: you won’t have to worry that. We are not going to pressure you into something you don’t want or need. We take a look at your roof and then we make a recommendation. We then take it a step further and educate you on why we think it is the best choice. You will be given a firm, fair quote and then we step back and let you decide.

You will typically need to replace your roof if it is 10 years or older and show warning signs such as curling shingles, leaks, ice dams, algae/mold growth and/or high energy bills.  To learn more about warning signs your roof needs to be replaced click here.

Windows:  Typically it takes one day or less depending on the amount of windows and any construction needed.

Our Energy Star rated windows and doors almost always result in lower energy bills – often much lower. A lot of people don’t realize that windows and doors account for 21% of air leakage in a home and can account for up to 40% increase on their energy bills.

To give you an accurate price, we need to talk to you about your specific needs. We think any honest home improvement contractor should visit the home and see what is being replaced and talk to the homeowner/s, you before providing a firm quote. We can promise you this: a firm, fair quote and plenty of time to look it over with ZERO sales pressure. If you decide to work with us, you won’t pay until you are satisfied.

At Coastal Windows & Exteriors, we believe in No Pressure and put the focus on education first.  It is a sad fact that some companies do make you feel like the only way to get them to stop talking is to agree to hire them. We hate that as much as you do. You will never be pressured to work with us.

We don’t recommend trying to install windows, siding, roofing and entry doors yourself unless you have professional level carpentry skills. Installation of any home improvement should really be done by a trained professional.  If not installed correctly there could be serious damage done to your home or injury to someone.  Many insurance companies will not pay on future claims that were a result of poorly done work and may require bids from multiple licensed contractors. If you do hire someone, we don’t recommend hiring a general handyman or a company that does general repairs.  Remember experience in a field matters as well as specific training and licenses.

  • Since the door is the first impression of your home, any kind of sloppy or less than professional installation will be extremely noticeable. An entry door to your home not only is the first thing someone sees when entering your home but need to have a custom fit to reduce any air infiltration to save on energy bills. A door installer will make sure your door is fit to the 1/8” and be properly insulated to the specific entry way.
  • Also, installation can affect energy efficiency – windows need to fit snugly against the weather stripping. Doing it yourself might cost you more in the long run. Windows alone account for 10% of air leakage in a home so you want to make sure have the lowest air infiltrated window on the market, Soft-Lite Element Windows and are properly installed by a licensed installer trained by the manufacturer specifications.
  • Roofing on your own is not only extremely dangerous to yourself but it unsafe for your home as you need to make sure you protect your home against all forms of weather. Roofing is not only about shingles but a roofing system together that acts as the first line of protection to your home.  The 6 major parts of a roofing system are vital to the longevity and the functionality of the roof.
  • Siding should be installed by a professional installer as improper installation can often result in long-lasting, costly consequences. Beyond having your manufacturer’s warranty voided, improper installation of vinyl siding can cause many problems. Vinyl siding can buckle and “oilcan” if fasteners are overdriven, potentially allowing moisture into the walls of your home.

Remodeling magazine said that “the highest payback comes from projects that give an older home the same features that have become standard in new homes.  Replacement jobs—such as door, window, and siding projects—generated a higher return than remodeling projects. Replacement projects averaged a return of 61.5% while remodeling projects scored 57.3%.” When grouped by job type, replacement projects such as window and siding jobs (77-80% ROI) performed better than kitchen and bath remodels (60-65% ROI).  All of our products have a lifetime transferable warranty to make sure that the next owner can have a peace of mind but also helps you when to you go to negotiate price of your home.  The current Cost vs Value report can be found here for this year’s return on investment for roofing, siding, windows & entry doors.
