Door Replacement for Gloucester Waterfront Property
Recently, Coastal Windows & Exteriors transformed a Gloucester waterfront home by replacing multiple doors and installing ProVia storm doors. Since the home sits near the ocean, it faces extreme coastal weather year-round. Therefore, the new doors needed to resist wind, salt air, and moisture.
Fortunately, ProVia doors offer strength, energy efficiency, and beauty. In addition, their stylish appearance complements the home’s seaside charm. Custom Start to the Project
First, we began the project by replacing two basement doors that needed custom sizing. Since these entryways also required stronger security, we installed fiberglass doors with upgraded key-lock systems. As a result, the basement is now better protected. Moreover, the new doors offer improved insulation, which helps reduce drafts and moisture buildup. Altogether, this upgrade added comfort, efficiency, and peace of mind to the home.
Adding More Upgrades
After completing the basement doors, we assessed the rest of the home. Since other doors were worn, we recommended more upgrades. Consequently, we replaced the kitchen door and added eight ProVia storm doors around the home. These storm doors added protection, style, and longer life to the main doors behind them.
Repairs to the Guest House
Additionally, the guest house doors had visible damage. In particular, the French door hardware had failed due to weather exposure. To solve this, we replaced the hardware and added storm doors. Therefore, both form and function were restored.
A Project That Grew with Purpose
In total, we completed nine door installations, far beyond the two originally planned. Still, everything ran smoothly. Moreover, the homeowners were thrilled with the results. They especially praised the attention to detail, product quality, and professional installation.
