Think Pink: A Romantic Hue for Your Home and Table

This weekend’s blueprint is inspired by the color pink and we’ve mapped out a plan for you to add subtle doses of this romantic hue to your decor and diet.

Add Casual Elegance with Pink Accents

Often associated with charm, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, and romance, pink can add a casual elegance to any room. We just love these crisp white french doors framed by pale pink drapes. When paired with gray an immediate sophistication is brought to the room. Tip: Mounting your drapes at the ceiling will bring height to the room and will make your windows appear more dramatic.  Add a couple accents of pink throughout the room to complete your look.

DIY Décor Meets Seasonal Treats

To fully indulge in your new room pick up the following items:

1. Pink hydrangeas sold at whole foods.
2. Local farm stand strawberries for your strawberry Clafouti
3. Get up early and go yard sailing or to Todd’s Farm in Rowley and find an old wrought iron table. Then head on over to Michael’s Crafts and buy some gilded gold paint for a perfect warm gold finish.
4. Relax on your couch and enjoy your dessert and this crisp refreshing Limoncello Raspberry Prosecco Cooler (recipe below) and think about your end-of-summer bucket list.

Embrace the Last Days of Summer in Style

We hope we’ve inspired you to think pink this weekend with a handful of fun DIY projects. These subtle shades will help you enjoy and relish in the warmth and coziness of these last days of summer.

Limoncello Raspberry Prosecco Cooler

YIELD: Makes 4 cocktails
INGREDIENTS:
1 (750ml) bottle prosecco

4 oz. limoncello liqueur, chilled

1 pint fresh raspberries

About 8 sprigs of fresh mint

DIRECTIONS:

First, chill four wine glasses in the freezer or refrigerator. Meanwhile, place raspberries on a plate and freeze them.

Next, remove the chilled glasses, carefully add limoncello (1 oz. each), and then top off with chilled Prosecco. After that, add the frozen raspberries and fresh mint leaves for garnish.

Here are a few fun tips – To keep your cocktail extra cold, simply freeze the berries for 10 minutes before serving. This creates berry “ice cubes”! Additionally, you can muddle the berries in the bottom of the glass to further enhance their flavor and color.

In conclusion, for an end-of-summer sip, it doesn’t get any better than this cool, refreshing cocktail with fragrant, fresh mint.

Cheers!
