About This Project:
Classic Farmhouse Turned Modern Siding Installation
West Newbury MA
These homeowners moved to New England in 2016 in search of a classic farm house. When they bought it, the home had red and yellow cedar siding that was not well maintained. They tried painting, but it didn’t last very long because their home gets lots of direct sunlight so the paint started to blister and peel. Sheri reached out to Coastal and told us her concern. As an Elite James Hardie Contractor, Coastal went out to give them a quote on James Hardie Fiber Cement siding. The homeowners decided on Board and Batten and 5 ¼” cedarmill plank siding in the color Arctic White. This siding is built to last the test of time. No more blistering , chipping, and peeling; a siding that you can rely on! We are so happy that we were able to give these homeowners a new modernized farmhouse that they were looking for and peace of mind knowing that they no longer need to keep up with the maintenance that comes with cedar siding!
If I could share a few words…We have lived all over the country, and this home is our fifth complete remodel. I have dealt with MANY contractors and laborers. In my experience, as a woman it can be difficult at times with a project of this scale and complexity to maintain a collaborative and respectful relationship with your contractors if an issue arises or the project gets challenging in any way. Mr. Baressi was a delightful departure from the behavior I have come to expect from others in his position. Whatever you’re paying him, it’s not enough! Haha! He has carried himself with kindness and professionalism through every step of my project from design through drafting our contract, overseeing the installation, right to the end – even personally picking up paint chips out of the flower beds. He, along with Fabiano’s crew, transformed a stressful project into a rewarding remodel. We are ever grateful.
