On a recent rainy Saturday morning, Frederick Otokunrin spent the afternoon installing soundproofing in what will soon be his new home. Despite the weather, he worked alongside a dedicated team of volunteers focused on transforming the Grover Street property. Together, they pushed forward another step in the ongoing Lynn home neighborhood revamp project.
Otokunrin wasn’t the only one donating his time and energy. Volunteers from across the North Shore showed up with tools, gloves, and enthusiasm. Habitat for Humanity North Shore organized the build, which has been underway for several months. The team expects to finish the project by summer, delivering three safe, energy-efficient family units to the neighborhood.

Each day brings new progress—siding goes up, insulation gets installed, and homes begin to take shape. Local contractors, homeowners-in-progress, and first-time volunteers are all doing their part.

We tackled a tough one.”
