He applies no pressure and isn’t in your face trying to sell a roof just a normal guy helping you make sense of everything related to roofing. The amount of work they had to complete coming into it seemed like a daunting task but it was completed in just a day and a half. The roof itself looks beautiful and makes our house look much better. Then they meticulously explained why we should choose Coastal Windows and Exteriors, and why we should choose James Hardie fiber cement board for our project. Next, they walked through the entire process, from permit applications to final sign-off, explaining why they do things the way they do (instead of how other companies might do it) and why their way is better. Lastly, they worked to find the best solution for how to pay for the project, suggesting ways that we could save with different options, as well as finding discounts they could offer.

I was having problems with leaking during heavy rains. I did some research and I found this company that had great reviews. I reached out to them and met with Frank and Cody. These two individuals make a great team. They came to my home to inspect my roof. I knew it was in rough shape. I started noticing leaks and had a problem with pests inside my walls. They throughly inspected my home and took many pictures. They explained to me the problem areas they found and had used the pictures to point out damage so they could better explain. Cody and Frank spent a lot of time with me asking questions and making suggestions that would best fit my circumstances. This duo went above and beyond in my opinion. Mark and Will of Coastal Windows and Exteriors did a fantastic job of guiding us through the available siding and gutter options for our home. They were knowledgeable, respectful of our property, and very eager to meet our needs with a project as big as ours.Our home is roughly 2700sqft, >30 years old, and has original wood siding with no gutters. My wife and I had done our research and decided we wanted the James Hardie fiber cement board siding, and Coastal Exteriors has a track record of being the best installer in the region. We were able to view an entire 3D model of our home and how it would look with these options in place. Mark was able to give us an exact price quote as even after a brief session of taking pictures of the house, he had down to the inch the amount of materials that would be required. Soffits, window trim, nothing was left ambiguous. We will finally be able to update our homes color from "plum-ish" to a more palatable shade of blue.We were very happy that this company is also able to do gutters at the same time, and Will had a small sample of the product (now to be known as Gary the Gutter) for us to handle and see its quality firsthand. Our salesman Sam B. was friendly, knowledgeable, and was most concerned with getting our home taken care of rather than selling us products. They worked with us to get us the best package for our budget.

Our double pane widows were installed about 14 years ago. The original seller/ installer retired. Two windows have problems, on an upper pane that drops and the second a cracked inside glass. I told CW We were only interested in repair. They sent out Cody who was a very knowledgeable and helpful young man. He actually worked on the drop down window and tried to repair it but alas it would need to be replaced. He was helpful in our octogenarian financial prospective and when asked did give us many options. The second cracked window could have the broken pane replaced by a glass fitter but we would loose the insulating property so would need to be replace. Although he left without selling us 2 new windows ( which we absolutely can not afford) he was so polite and helpful we definitely recommend the Beverly branch of Costal windows for those 80+ citizens who need advise)

The team was able to send someone out super fast to get a few estimates for our front entry door. Their rates were competitive and Derek walked me through the benefits of working with the company, as well as different door configuration options that fit our price range.We ultimately went with coastal thanks to Derek's guidance. In addition, being a woman-owned local business was a huge benefit to me.

We've met with Cody and Ryan twice now to get our upcoming projects going. The initial visit was way back in February when we were getting initial estimates for our roof and windows even though we weren't quite ready to sign any contracts then (we were in the early process of buying the house we've been renting so we needed reliable numbers to get our financing in order) and they were incredibly helpful and understanding and their whole team was absolutely understanding of our situation and had no issues waiting on us a bit. Cody is excellent at his job! He really knows his stuff, and if he doesn't know an answer, he will find out. No BS, no ego, just honesty. Ryan was only a day or two into his job when we first met with them, and he was clearly knowledgeable from past work experience and was learning his new role at Coastal. He was very informative and helpful, especially for being just a couple days into his new job. We met with them again yesterday to finalize our plans and sign contracts. Those two remembered so much from our meeting 2.5 months ago it was impressive. Especially Ryan, even Cody gave him kudos for recalling so much. They spent a lot of time with us going over all the details again and making sure we got what we needed, and could afford. They did their best to stay as close to our first quote as they could given the current global economic situation and ever increasing inflation. We are getting a gorgeous new roof, all new windows, a new front door, two sliding doors, a skylight replacement and full gutters for the same amount another company quoted us for just windows and doors. You can't beat that! We are confident in their products' quality, repair and replacement warrantees, and longevity testing. They will outlast us and someday give our kids a house without problems. That is the most worthwhile investment we can think of for the future. We are excited to get going in a couple weeks! I just can't say enough good things about Cody and Ryan. We enjoyed our interactions with them so much! Very nice, honest, personable, friendly, knowledgeable young men. They work really well together and Cody seems to be a great mentor for Ryan. Cody is a born salesmen in a totally good way! He told us a couple tidbits about himself as an overly friendly kid and it makes perfect sense. Looking forward to hopefully seeing them again. Had Hardie siding installed IOn my Cape House here in Rowley MA. Sales team were respectful, prompt and responsive. My family & I were quite alarmed when we realized that a chemical odor was coming from an exterior wall of our deck which is right off the living room. It turned out that the source of the odor was vinyl siding which we already knew was melting because the intense sunlight on the deck reflected off of a bay window and created extreme heat on that wall of our house resulting in damaged pieces of vinyl. We had thought these melted pieces of siding were minor until we smelled the noxious odor coming from them and then worried about health issues. So we researched vinyl siding companies on-line that night and signed up for a consultation with Coastal Windows since their reviews were so good.The next morning we got a call from the company and a home visit took place the next day - on a Saturday. When Dino and Derek assessed the situation, they offered us several options which could correct the problem. Clearly, they were very knowledgeable and also a pleasure to work with. We had a great experience with Coastal Windows & Exteriors. Christo & Conner came out to meet with us after our workday at 7 PM & stayed until nearly 11 PM to make sure all of our questions were answered. They were patient, thorough, and never made us feel rushed. They answered all my questions, & I tend to ask quite a few. What I appreciated the most was they did not try to sell us on the most expensive products. They sat with us like actual people & not salesmen & listened to what we were looking for. That is rare in today’s world.

Originally, I reached out because my son’s window had broken & wouldn’t close. While we knew replacing our windows was something we’d eventually need to do—especially since we just purchased our home—it wasn’t something we planned on tackling right away. However, Christo was able to get us into an unbelievable financing plan, & we ended up purchasing five brand-new windows.

We also learned that they offer siding services, which is something we definitely plan on doing in the near future, especially considering the amazing financing they offer. Overall, we’re very happy with our experience & would definitely recommend them.

I recently had Coastal Windows come back for a second project, and once again the experience was outstanding from beginning to end. I first had them replace bay windows, install a new slider, and completely overhaul my front door system. I then had them return for a roof replacement after some damage occurred in big storm. We are expecting to have windows installed this month. Theo, from coastal windows came out to our home to provide estimates and inspection of work needed. He was at our home for a long time explaining every detail of different window options, the differences in window grade and effectiveness. While measuring our windows, he went though each room with respect of our property, keeping mindful of keeping my rugs clean.
Theo and coastal administrative office has kept us updated on the progress of the project every step of the way and setting up dates of installation.

We’ve only had the initial appointment, selection, and agreement so far, but our experience has been excellent. Called coastal Windows and Exteriors after experiencing some water damage at my house following heavy snowstorms. I worked with Mark Kissel, who was very knowledgable and was quickly able to identify the exterior problem, walk me through my options for addressing it, and arrange for urgent repairs. The whole process was quick and easy. Highly recommended

I reached out to Coastal Windows to have them look at a few older/damaged windows, as well as how to replace a custom "Garden Window Box' off our kitchen area (this too was damaged, old, and one of a kind).

A product Specialist (Braeden Kane) came to ur house the next day. He sat with us and provided different options and actually helped us decide on a change (sliding style window) for our front kitchen window. Made sense as we will soon put a Farmers Porch there, and the window will be functional for passing thru items (cocktails?), and not just a window for airflow!!

We were also walked thru the levels and benefits of these window types, this helped us with a perfect set of solutions! Next was a very easy visit for the custom measurements, and then they went off and ordered our windows.

There were then challenges on a couple of the window styles (custom styles) that Braeden helped us resolve personally! What a nice guy! He scheduled the install around our travel schedule, and that is coming up real soon!!

We are extremely happy with our new siding. Our house looks like brand new! We went with vinyl siding and had 2 windows replaced.
Everyone we dealt with at Coastal was great. Communication was good, questions were answered quickly.
It was very cold the week the siding was installed. The workmen showed up early every morning and worked until dark in freezing (single digit) temperatures. They did a fantastic job.
We are happy with the materials. The job was finished to a very high standard. There were a couple of very minor things to address when the job was completed, and they were taken care of within 24 hours.
One unexpected bonus is that my drafty old house is no longer drafty. We have actually had to turn the heat down, and our electric bill for last month dropped noticeably.
We give Coastal our highest recommendation. They knocked it out of the park. We are very happy and satisfied customers.

The teams that were sent to do the work were great, very polite, courteous and hard working. What a fabulous experience. We had Coastal out twice to discuss siding on our home. The first visit Frank and Cody (I think his name was Cody. If not I’m so sorry!) came out conveniently after our long work schedule. They were super informative, answered all of our questions and, most importantly, didn’t make us feel rushed regardless of the later hour. Frank’s no BS style was exactly what we were looking for. We want up honest conversation not sugar coated scripted speeches and he delivered. Neither one of them made us feel pressured and they were extremely professional during my husband’s “negotiations.” The way you can see what your house will look like on the computer is also a plus since I’m a visual person. I was thankful for that touch. We planned to hold off until spring but came across some issues that pushed us up much further. Frank, again, met us at the house same day and we finalized our options. He was honest when answering my last few questions and they welcomed us to the family. They will have everything handled from here. It was time to be proactive on an aging roof and skylights. Coastal offers a GAF Golden Pledge Presidents club warranty to ensure that we are protecting our home. Communication from the beginning to the punctuality and hard work from the crew was top notch. The architectural shingles with black trim, seamless black gutters and leaf guards look incredible. Solar vented skylights from Velux, remote operated with power blinds allowed us to toss the operating pole for the old crank version in the dumpster. Everything was tarped, cleaned and a Magnet nail sweep at completion. Follow up for customer satisfaction solidified the communication from start to finish. Thank you Coastal!

Worksmanship was very good. Workers were personable. Only complaint was that the cases where the doors were delivered were not picked up right away and a couple of sliding doors would not close (but later fixed). Also each of the doors had its own set of keys, instead of a single master.

Derek Sidelinger came out was very informative and helpful through out the process I like how he presented himself and how highly he spoke of the company basically hired on the spot!!!! They'll be first one's called when I replace windows and siding

Contract was signed in August 13, 2025. Then they created a new contract in September. Took 3 weeks to come measure. Then they ordered windows a week after that. 11/3 and still waiting….they said it’ll be delivered 11/10. Almost 3 months but company said well as of the second contract it’s all working time lines. Production associate not the least bit helpful or empathetic. Go with a different company….

Pros: Overall I had a great experience with Coastal Windows. The representatives who came over to check the roof and siding were knowledgeable in their field of work and they took time to answer all of my questions. They were intentional with their follow up without feeling too pushy to gain my business. Out of the 4 quotes I've gathered for my project, they fell in the middle of the pack but I knew they would do an excellent job (which they did).More of a FYI than a Con: The representatives from Coastal Windows had a "sales pitch" ready to go as a way to assure the credibility of their business. The "sales pitch" wasn't necessary based on my interaction with them. But don't let that deter you away from Coastal Windows since their professionalism and expertise in the field is trustworthy.

Excellent roof replacement by Coastal Windows & Exteriors in Kittery. Manager Steve Schofield provided great communication and went out of his way to help . The crew worked from dawn to dusk to ensure our home was watertight before an incoming northeaster. They replaced rotted trim and soffit, installed new GAF shingles beautifully, and left the property spotless. Highly recommend!

Just had an estimate so far to install a new window and potentially replace a couple others. The sales pitch is too long, but the professionalism and customer service is otherwise impressive so far. I was contacted by Scott, who was very nice and got me scheduled quickly. Then Patrick called and informed me once Connor was running a few mins behind in traffic, which he truly was all of 5 mins late, and then Connor was very friendly and professional. He spent nearly 2 hrs at my home both talking with me through my project, the options, and ways to make it more economical. That time was partly spent telling me about the company and as he had to call his boss while with me to report back when I would have liked to move on to other things. I was warned their process could take a while upfront, though, and I didn’t walk away feeling pressured to buy.

All of the workers that have been here Sean has preformed above all others. He had excellent work habits very polite and just over all a great guy.

Salesman, Christos was great to get a price for siding that was well below other estimates. The siding is quality material that won’t fade, and comes in a beautiful range of colors to choose from. The salesman was great to set up where the materials, parking for the crew, and dumpster waslocated so that we could easily come and go while they were here. The job foreman, Steve kept in constant contact throughout the siding job and made everything run smoothly. Deliveries of quality materials were made on time, and the crew worked skillfully and quickly, following his lead. The yard was picked up after each workday, and the crew were always courteous. So nice this is as a model house. Before and after photos show an amazing difference, and made this home look like one we will love.

He is very knowledgeable about the energy efficieny ratings, the U factor and the SHGC ratings of all the window choices available. He patiently answered all our questions. My husband and I found massive rot damage under our vinyl siding while in the process of building a new deck. After several quotes and chats with contractors we spoke with Dave Barresi who came out and evaluated everything from top to bottom offering different solutions at different price points and never pressuring us. The timeframe was right in line with what Mike and Sean had originally told us. Sarah and Pam in the office kept us up-to-date with timing along the way, and were always available for any questions we had. The install team, Joe, Mike, Andrew and Brad, were the best! They got the job done so quickly and seamlessly. My husband and I both work from home so we were a little concerned on how the installation would be, but there were no problems at all. They were all excellent...friendly, courteous and diligent. When they were done they addressed, and quickly resolved, a few small issues we had on a couple of the windows. We highly recommend Coastal for your windows, or other home improvement needs. We are hoping to replace our bay window in the (near) future and will definitely go back to Coastal for the project.

We are thrilled with the James Hardie siding that Coastal Windows put up for us. Our old 70s dingy siding is gone and new and beautiful (Ocean Blue!) siding is up. He was initially outside, taking pictures and notes before coming into the home to see the exposed ceiling and attic. When we finally sat down he talked to us about vulnerabilities he identified in the roof, siding, and windows. Owning a very old home with asbestos siding, we knew this was going to be big project for us.

And we were a bit overwhelmed with the terminology and how massive a project it would be to repair and protect our house after hearing the news. We knew we had wanted to redo the siding to protect our cherished victorian home, but we had just installed a new roof from another company 7 years ago, and thought we had some time to save for the next siding project.

But Ewan was a calm presence as he would stop and explain terms and essentially gave us a primer on roofs and siding we never thought we needed! He was a true educator, explaining the components and materials that Coastal uses in their process. And having our questions answered as we talked was tremendous in helping us understand what we needed to do next in addressing this roof/siding failure.

In the next couple of days, fearing additional rain, Ewan quickly responded to our concerns and got us a temporary tarp/covering to protect the home from continued rainfall. He really helped us feel like we were in the right hands while dealing with this emergency.

Coastal has already ordered our materials for work on our roof this week, and Ewan was just back at our home to finalize the additional siding and replacement windows. Again, learning more about how siding worked and feeling better about what we were buying. Ewan understood that this was a huge financial investment for us and talked us through the whole way. The level of customer care so far has been amazing and we feel so much more at ease to be working with Coastal.

Jacob and Ewan were awesome , they were both very knowledgeable and very pleasant. Good guys all around. They spent as much of time as we needed as the customer to answer all our questions. The company overall sounds like a great company to do business with both now and in the future.

Cody came out to the house and was great. Very knowledgeable. Detailed in the explanation of the product and timeline of the project. We are thrilled to be working with Coastal.

Update: Project complete. 1st class experience. They showed up when they said they would, they finished ahead of schedule, our yard was picked up and left cleaner than when they arrived EVERYDAY. If you didn't see them here you would have never known. I am so impressed and pleased we chose Coastal for our project.

Today is day three of siding installation and I have to say this has been a remarkable process. From the initial call for information to the ease of setting up an appointment with Ryan and Cam, the sales guys who met with me, it was obvious Coastal Windows is a well run company.
As for Ryan and Cam, they were professional and well acquainted with their product. Ryan was an especially helpful advisor in the final design—from a dated 1960s ranch to the to a 21st century modern structure.
Work is progressing apace and I’m looking forward to the finished product.

Great working with Mark in planning siding for my house. He took his time explaining process and options.Steve was the project manager and he was excellent about returning my calls and keeping me updated. Fabio was the onsite manager and was fantastic answering my multitude of questions and explaining the process as it was going. The staff showed up every day and worked from start to end of day every day. Very pleased with the work ethic. I have a beautiful new sided house.

Currently we’re in the first stages of having our basement windows replaced.
We met with our Product Specialist, Nabil. He was very personable, knowledgeable and arrived right on time…total patience on his part, my boyfriend is a hard nut to crack when it comes to spending money.

The price for all (8) windows with triple pane were very reasonable….we can’t wait until there installed.

Plus, my daughter recommended Coastal Windows to us because they replaced almost her whole house and she loves her windows and highly recommended Coastal.

Just wanted to share some final before-and-after photos of the house transformation—from wood shingles to James Hardie siding, along with new front windows. Ryan was fantastic to work with and provided great recommendations throughout the design process. Coastal did a great job replacing the windows in my house. The salesperson was knowledgeable and courteous and not super pushy. Once we made the deal communications were good. They banged out about 25+ windows in two days and did a great job replacing the rotten trim and getting everything straight. A huge difference in our house since they replaced the original single pane windows with modern windows. Very satisfied.

My experience with Coastal Windows & Exteriors was so much better than I expected. This interaction was to replace decades old vinyl siding. I was ready for high pressure sales where they push me toward the most expensive and elaborate siding replacement. What I got was a collaboration with Dino (the consultant that came to my home). He explained it all.

He walked me through the composition of the different materials used at each level of siding. We even talked about the area of the siding where the nails are placed., the type of nails used. He explained the type of house wrap they now use.. He explained how houses need to “breathe” and the old school wrap didn’t provide this benefit.
Most importantly he didn’t speak in jargon. He explained it all in everyday terms and used examples.

When it came to the assessment of the house and I what I had to replace it was a breath of fresh air . I was expecting to hear that I should replace it all. It was cool we worked out how to better spend my money.

Mike came to us to sell us windows and he did just that! Our plan was to get 2 or 3 quotes for the job, however. Mike did a great job of explaining everything they were going to do to keep our house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. He showed us what we would be getting, the windows look awesome. He spent nearly 4 hours with us answering all of our questions and just seemed very honest and trustworthy we were sold, we did not even keep the meeting we had scheduled for the next night with another company.

Coastal Windows was very professional from start to finish. The process of choosing what we wanted, taking the time to explain the long term benefits of going with their product and the follow through fast installation, one day, no mess, all clean, in our more custom job. Overall very happy with the service and follow through support. The door is a true investment not only esthetically, but also financially, making a big difference in keeping the heat in.

I was reluctant to call but ended up pulling the trigger due to the high reviews. There was an associate who came to our home and showed us our options and what we would like; our door was customized to our liking. The next step was measuring the door/door frame. Last step was installation. The door was perfect but didn't close automatically like we preferred. I called back and Ashley made sure my concern was heard and addressed. Within 2 days, I had a gentlemen come by, fix the issue and even educated me on what he did to solve the problem. Customer service (human not a machine) 5/5. Cost 4/5 (understandable with complete transparency). Schedule- roughly 1 month from signing to completion. I would definitely refer them to friends or family.

We had Coastal Windows & Exteriors replace the six windows and door on our front porch. We are delighted with the Vytex Potomac Double Hung windows and ProVia Steel with Fiberglass Channel Entry Door in Wood Frame. The quality is excellent. Coastal Windows & Exteriors scheduled the installation for two days, but completed it in one. The workmanship of the installers was excellent.

I was hesitant about starting a renovation project, especially right before the holidays, because I didn’t understand the process or want to deal with multiple companies pressuring me to make a decision. But when Ryan showed up and said, ‘You are in good hands,’ I had no idea how great the experience would be.

Ryan spent over seven hours at our first meeting answering all my questions, explaining siding options, colors, and even what a soffit is. He helped me design a rendering of my dream house exterior, staying so late that the company sent him a pizza for dinner! That gesture made me realize Coastal Windows & Exteriors truly cares about its employees, which gave me confidence in doing business with them.

Our initial design was beyond my budget, but Ryan encouraged me to dream big so I could understand all the material options. He then guided me through a hands-on research process to pick and choose elements that better fit my budget. Even when I was still nervous about affordability, Ryan went back to the drawing board and redesigned the house. He found a way to stay closer to my number while maintaining a fantastic look.

Dino came out for a consultation at my rental property in Braintree. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It was a mismatch between what I was looking for (basic builders grade windows instead of something top quality) but that is the only reason I didn’t move forward with the project. If you are looking for excellent service and quality windows you are in the right place!

Had Eric over for a quote on 4 windows and he was fantastic! Took the time to make sure we knew everything about the windows and install process. We weren’t planning on making a decision at the meeting but we were happy with the quote and the quality of service and the windows, so we did.

Called coastal windows and one other local company to quote on replacing a greenhouse style window/box leaking with a water rot base. They came quickly. The guys who came were knowledgeable but also unequivocally salesmen. They were reasonable, and honest about what things we probably should replace (window noted above), versus things they could do at discount by replacing more windows, but weren't urgent issues. They went through a sales pitch at the end, and quoted me, and then discounted it if we took the option that moment. I had not heard from the other company regarding their quote yet, and coastal was well rated, so took the offer. FWIW, the other company did come in about 20% lower (and also very reputable), but I appreciated how quickly coastal came and was ready to move forward. The actual ordering and installation went very well and perfectly happy with the result. Summary: salesmen forward, a little on the pricier side, but EXCELLENT product and service.

This is review pre-install because we feel we need to let everyone know how wonderful our initial experience with Coastal Windows & Exterior was. I inquired via Instagram and was responded ti immediately and set up an appointment time for someone to come to our home. Such a bonus, we did not want to spend time in a store trying to make such a big decision.

Roger came to our home to go over give us an overview on entry doors and the products Coastal uses. He reviewed options for replacing our old front entry door. He spent hours with us, answering every question we had. Even the ones that may have been silly or obvious. He gave us a ton of choices that allowed us to choose the door that best suited our home and design taste.

Roger was honest, professional and down to earth. He even was super relaxed and completely fine with our puppy loving on him a bit too much. Sorry Roger!

After meeting with 2 other contractors, I met with Ryan Mahoney from Coastal Windows & Exteriors and was a given a very competitive price and they delivered on promises made and made recommendations that ultimately enhanced the exterior design of my house. My house is a new build and had some custom unique features and they delivered on turning my design into a reality. Coastal Windows & Exteriors performed custom work to install a tigerwood soffit to my specifications and custom tigerwood headers that other contractors refused to include in their numbers. Their field team and installers were top shelf and did excellent job with minding small details and identifying issues before the work was installed. They finished the job quickly and effectively. I manage construction projects commercially and work with a lot of contractors so I can attest that Coastal Windows & Exteriors is a great company perform work on your home.

I had Coastal come out to put a new GAF roofing system on my home. The initial consultation with Dino was very informative and explained to me the many layers to the roofing system itself. They came out on schedule, did the work in a timely matter and I ended up adding gutters to the project.
