This weekend we’re focused on creating a warm & cozy livingroom and you won’t believe how easy it is!

warm&cozy

warm&cozy

1. Full lanterns with mini ghords, pumpkins and battery operated candles. Stagger different sizes. Pier One has a great selection.
2. Hand knit pillows from Pottery Barn. Done.
3. First, get out your George Foreman grill and make a sautéed mushroom and Brie grilled cheese sandwich.
After all, who wants plain grilled cheese anymore when you can enjoy this upgraded, melty, flavorful goodness?
4. Relax n enjoy it all with a sparkling apple cider sangria (recipe below).
5. Take a moment and clean the windows to enjoy the beautiful fall leaves. The landscape is art in itself. If you notice any drafts check out my winterize your home tips to learn how to keep your home warm & cozy this weekend.

Ok time to dive right in and get this weekend started. Save this Weekend Blueprint to your phone or pin it for safe keeping. This one is a not to miss look!

Happy Weekend!

Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria

Serves 8

2 apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1/2 cup cognac
2 cups apple cider
750ml bottle cava (or other dry sparkling wine), chilled
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds

Add the apples to a large pitcher reserving about 1/2 cup for garnishing. Add the cognac, apple cider, and chilled cava. Stir.

Fill the pitcher with ice. Pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice and top with sliced apple and pomegranate seeds.

Recipe Notes:

  • Non-Alcoholic Version: You can easily make this a non-alcoholic sangria by removing the cognac and replacing the Cava with seltzer water or club soda

Thanks to the kitchn for providing this refreshing fall cocktail!
