In the beautiful, historic city of Concord, MA, a heartwarming and significant community project took place. We at Coastal Windows & Exteriors rolled up our sleeves and joined forces with the wonderful folks at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell to create something special–a brand new home at 367 Commonwealth Ave!

What makes this partnership all the more special is that this marks Habitat for Humanity’s 52nd home build. It’s also their very first collaboration with us at Coastal Windows & Exteriors.

As a woman-owned, family-run construction company, we’ve always had a robust commitment to the community. Now, as proud new members of the Concord Chamber of Commerce, we’re excited to lend our expertise and resources to this project. In fact, we’re contributing a free roofing system and siding to help bring this dream house to life.

Protecting 367 Commonwealth with James Hardie® Fiber Cement

The materials used in this project are a testament to Coastal’s dedication to quality. The new home will be fitted with James Hardie® fiber cement siding, designed specifically for the New England climate, promising both comfort and protection. The home will be wrapped snugly in HardieWrap®, providing excellent insulation while effectively keeping moisture at bay.

Speaking of James Hardie®, they’re renowned for their range of top-notch fiber cement products. Their flagship product line includes the leading brand of siding in North America – HardiePlank® lap siding, widely acclaimed for its strength, beauty, and durability. We are a proud preferred contractor of James Hardie® offering other quality products from the company, like HardiePanel® vertical siding, HardieShingle® siding, and HardieTrim® boards.

And let’s not forget, these products come with a commendable resistance to fire, moisture, rot, and pests– because your peace of mind matters.

GAF Roof Installation Prevents Leaks, Mold & Much More

The cherry on top of this project is the roof, quite literally. Coastal Windows & Exteriors installed a free GAF Timberline UHDZ asphalt roof, known for its top-tier, award-winning materials. This reliable roofing system is a true guardian against ice dams and leaks throughout the year, with a special nod to saving energy all year long. It even comes with a remarkable unlimited wind speed warranty and a lifetime shingle defect warranty. We have your back!

Coastal is Community: Making a Difference for Over a Decade

Suzanne Frechette from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell, can’t help but express her excitement: “When you are building affordable homes, it is critical to keep costs down and have such respectable and dedicated partners. We are so thrilled to work with Coastal.”

Coastal Windows & Exteriors was built on a foundation of empathy, customer-first attitude, and a commitment to educating customers. So far, we’ve donated over $300,000 in labor and materials to Habitat for Humanity over the last decade.

Providing shelter means making a promise; a promise of protection and security. Donating a free GAF roofing system and James Hardie® siding is a great way to keep that promise as its layers of high quality protection work together to keep the home and the people inside safe from the elements.

Indeed, this project is a beautiful manifestation of how businesses can give back to the community, combining professional skills and community spirit. It’s an embodiment of the mission of both Coastal Windows & Exteriors and Habitat for Humanity: to provide energy efficient and stylish homes for families in need. This is not just a house that’s being built – it’s a promise of protection and security being fulfilled.
