Have you showered alfresco? For those who have, they understand what the rage is all about for outdoor showers. For those that haven’t you must!

Whether they are enclosed or a free standing structure outdoor showers are gaining popularity and understandably so. Outdoor showers can be simple and functional.

Or they can be more elaborate while adding function. This outdoor shower includes a handheld to make it easier to rinse sandy feet or young children. Other features homeowners seem to love is a toe tester or foot wash.

An outdoor shower can also be treated as a sculpture or work of art in your outdoor haven.

Regardless of the application, you must winterize all outdoor showers for the cold snowy months. This involves taking the shower inside. If you are handy this may be something you can tackle on your own, but calling a plumber to do this is not uncommon. In addition to taking in the fixture, you need to blow out the lines. This means you must remove any residual water sitting in the lines so it does not freeze and burst.
