So with our warranty, we have the transferable warranty so it adds the value to the home. It also has a warranty on every single part of the window. We also offer accidental glass breakage coverage, which many companies don’t provide or, if they do, prorate.
I grew up in a community that’s near a golf course and we would have a lot of broken glass. We would always have to pay a glass company that re-glaze our windows and redo it.
If your sectional glass breaks, it doesn’t matter how—it’s covered. We send a brand new sash, not just the glass, so your window becomes like new. Additionally, every window has a SKU number in the bottom right-hand corner. This means that even if our company no longer exists, we still fully cover that window for you. This coverage addresses what many people worry about.
The average remodeling company sees 80% go out of business within five years. Therefore, purchasing from a company younger than five years is risky. Now, we’re at nine years, but even then, it’s still a risk. Out of the 80%, 96% close before seven years. Since the industry has high turnover, my biggest concern is ensuring we take care of customers, no matter whether we stay in business or not. Of course, I hope we’re here forever.
If they completely cover the job whether I’m around or not, that makes me feel confident every time I walk into someone’s home.
Warranty on the Windows: The warranty on the window, you have a certified installer, we use InstallationMasters certifications when it comes to our certified install so the windows are going to be installed by the manufacturer as long as their approval rating so you can’t run into the issues of an improperly installed window.
So, that’s the biggest gripe when it comes to warranty because someone will have a warranty and they’ll realize, “Hey, it’s not the window, it’s the installer.” So people start pointing fingers, and nobody knows who should cover the product.
