SUNsational Summer Giveaway #2! (Read blog for details)
Come On In! Dress up your front entry this July with a Coastal Patriotic theme! To start you have to have a door that screams curb appeal. Get an all new point of view! Curb Appeal begins with your front door so read below on how to enhance your front door porch!
#1: Focal Point: Front Entry Door
Our ProVia Doors have two styles to choose from – Fiberglass or Steel and both meet the highest standards for beauty, durability, security and energy efficiency. All available in custom sizes and finishes. I choose the Vallis Red color to go with my Patriotic Curb Appeal Theme. What I love about the ProVia door is that I never have to paint again-never. The 7 step process includes me picking the stain finish, UV Resistant Clear Coat which is oven-cured for lasting durability, hand sanding the door, then finally the second layer of UV Resistant Clear Coat and the door is oven-cured a second time, creating a long-lasting, durable finish. Thus ensuring unprecedented finish durability.
Our series of fiberglass doors push the envelope in energy efficiency, winning the most energy-efficient door currently available in the U.S.A and with 20-gauge steel provides unparalleled security.
To us, a door is more than an entrance to your home because it makes a statement about quality to anyone who visits. Your door is the first impression your home makes so let us help you select a perfect match!
#2: The Perfect Door Knocker
Well of course here at Coastal, we go NAUTICAL all the way. I had a tough time choosing between these three, which one do you like? I went with the anchor because what it stands for to me: classic, strength and support.
#3: Celebrate Your American Patriotism with an American Flag-Long May Old Glory Wave
Keep in mind these things when displaying our American Flag as it’s a reminder of our freedom living in the United States and should be properly displayed and cared for. The code outlines the proper ways to display the American flag.
- – Raise the flag briskly. Lower it ceremoniously.
- – Never allow the flag to touch the ground or floor.
- – Do not fly the flag in bad weather, unless it is an all-weather flag.
- – The flag can only be flown at night if properly illuminated. Otherwise, it should only be flown from sunrise to sunset (use the nautical light below).
- – The flag should always be allowed to fall free.
- – The flag should never be used to carry, store, or deliver anything.
· Never fly the flag upside down except to signal an emergency. *https://www.infoplease.com/spot/flagetiquette1.html
#4: Let Your Light Shine
Choosing the right porch light can make your home more inviting and do a lot more than help you find your way in the dark. It should be an important signature choice for your curb appeal and invite Friends & Family onto your porch. A brightly lit porch especially to illuminate your American Flag is a must!
Things you should consider:
– Placement – Wall, ceiling, or flush mount
– Style – Match home’s architecture
– Size – Should balance with the size of your entry door instead of the overall size of your home; typically between 5 and 9 inches
– Function (outdoor use, photoelectric eyes, motion sensitive)
#5: You’re Welcome Mat
Choosing the correct size door mat is important and these three criteria is what you need to know:
- – Choose the right size door mats and the style that fits your home.
- – A rectangle shape tends to complement an entrance.
- – Make sure slip resistant.
#6: What’s Your Number?
For a quick update simply change your home’s address numbers for a simple fix to enhance your curb appeal.
- – Consider the overall feel of your home when determining which numbers to purchase to be sure they’ll work well with the style.
- – Placement is important for address numbers which could include the front door or exterior of the front wall of the house.
- – Personalize it such as the eye catching nautical house number plaque below.
#7: Adding a Pop of Color
Add colorful flowers to enhance your curb appeal and give people that visit your home a memory by placing flowers on your front porch. Nothing is more inviting than bright looking flowers happily greeting anyone that steps into your home. Get your green thumb gardening skills and show your creative flair as you stage your porch using splashes of color. My favorite are red Martha Washington Geraniums and blue lobelia!
