Neutral Living Room
Welcome to the New Seasonal Home Style Series

This new blog series is all about bringing style to your home from creating a warm & inviting living space, going green, lux for less designing or simply the shifts in seasonal decorating & renovations. Excited to share my style finds and inspirations with you each week.

Embracing the Fall Shift: From Summer Vibes to Cozy Living

I’ll admit—I’m a summer girl, but there’s something special about the back-to-school fall season. September always feels like a time to refresh and renew. I love everything about it—from enjoying the last days of summer and shopping for new organizational tools, to embracing fall foods, decorating, and usually starting a new home renovation project.

This week it’s all about Feeling That Shift into the next season. It happens at about this time of the year, every year. I don’t know about you but its more like an ease than I want to jump right in. Boots you can stay in the attic…I am not ready for you yet, but I am ready to move from brighter colors into a more neutral color scheme. I’m noticing a gradual shift in my design sensibilities from white to ivory, greys, browns, and metallic finishes. Do you have a similar décor mood and does it change with the season?

Quick Fixes for a Cozy Living Room

September is a busy month, so I love coming home to warm candlelight (thanks, Target timers!) and soothing neutrals.

My favorite quick fix in the living room is to pull out warm throws and swap out for warmer pillows. This living room filled with accessible pieces with a vintage flair — could be the calm, serene space that your home has been wishing for!

Keep reading to see how to bring this look home, and I’d love to know:

How do you change your decor to fit the season?

About ME: In case we haven’t met…Little bit about me….my unending love for Summer and my addiction to cookies can only be topped by my passion for creating that warm & inviting space we call home.
