WINDOWS, AND SIDING, AND ROOFING … OH, MY!
Coastal Windows & Exteriors Teams Up with Habitat for Humanity & The Wizard of Oz to help local low-income families build a better tomorrow, one brick at a time
LYNN, MA – (Friday, October 4, 2013) – Coastal Windows & Exteriors of Beverly, MA, has teamed up with North Shore Habitat for Humanity – in coordination with Warner Bros. classic film, “The Wizard of Oz” – to help build new homes for local families in need. Because “There’s No Place Like Home”, Coastal Windows & Exteriors is proud to announce that they are helping to build a new home – as beautiful as The Emerald City – in nearby Lynn, MA. In the spirit of the Magic of OZ, the company is donating the roof, siding, windows and doors that will turn this house into a home for some lucky families.
Coastal Window’s & Exteriors’ first “Coastal Build Day” is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2013, 8:30am-3:30pm at 6 Grover Street in Lynn, MA. They are selecting 20 lucky volunteers to be a part of this amazing day-long community build experience that also includes a BBQ lunch courtesy of The North Shore Meat House and the gift of a commemorative Coastal Build Day t-shirt. Space is limited, so please email svanderbilt@mycoastalwindows.com to sign up and receive more detailed information about this first Coastal Build Day. A second Coastal Build Day, tentatively scheduled for November 2013, will be announced soon. If you’re unable to volunteer, you can still help pave the way for this new home by making a donation to North Shore Habitat for Humanity. Visit HabitatforHumanity-Northshore.com to make your contribution and receive a special thank you gift from Coastal Windows & Exteriors.
Coastal Windows & Exteriors started paving the way making this house a home by completing the first project on October 5, 2013. The GAF Timerberline HD roof was installed by Master Elite roofing contractors which are only in the top 3% in the USA.
The new Habitat for Humanity sponsored home on Grover Street in Lynn, MA is a complete gut renovation that will ultimately be transformed into a three family veterans preference home. The future homeowners and volunteers have been working side-by-side on initial demolition of the triple-decker for the past few months. The extensive renovation will continue through the fall and early winter with plans for it to be completed in early 2014.
