WINDOWS, AND SIDING, AND ROOFING … OH, MY!
Coastal Windows & Exteriors Teams Up with Habitat for Humanity & The Wizard of Oz to help local low-income families build a better tomorrow, one brick at a time
LYNN, MA – Friday, October 4, 2013 – Coastal Windows & Exteriors of Beverly, MA, has joined North Shore Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for local families. In partnership with Warner Bros. and the classic film The Wizard of Oz, they’re bringing a magical theme to the project. Because “There’s No Place Like Home,” Coastal Windows proudly supports the mission of providing safe and beautiful housing in Lynn, MA. As a result, they’re donating the roof, siding, windows and doors for a home as stunning as The Emerald City. Their support helps transform a rundown house into a welcoming space for deserving local families.
Next, Coastal Windows & Exteriors will host their first Coastal Build Day on Saturday, October 19, 2013. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 6 Grover Street in Lynn, MA.
They are selecting 20 lucky volunteers for an exciting, day-long community build experience. In addition, this special event includes a free BBQ lunch, courtesy of The North Shore Meat House. Moreover, each volunteer will receive a commemorative Coastal Build Day t-shirt to mark the occasion. However, spots are filling quickly, so email svanderbilt@mycoastalwindows.com now to sign up for the event. Once registered, you’ll receive full event details and next steps.
Coastal Windows will announce a second Coastal Build Day, tentatively scheduled for November 2013, in the coming weeks. Can’t volunteer this time? Paving The Way
Coastal Windows & Exteriors began paving the way to make this house a home by completing the first project on October 5, 2013. Specifically, the GAF Timberline HD roof was installed by Master Elite roofing contractors, who rank in the top 3% nationwide.
Meanwhile, the new Habitat for Humanity-sponsored home on Grover Street in Lynn, MA is undergoing a complete gut renovation. Ultimately, it will be transformed into a three-family home with a veterans preference.
For the past few months, future homeowners and volunteers have been working side-by-side on the initial demolition of the triple-decker. Furthermore, the extensive renovation will continue throughout the fall and early winter. As it stands, the project is expected to be completed in early 2014.
