The old horizontal wood siding was dated and lacked the energy efficiency needed for New England’s climate. They wanted a modern makeover that would bring their dream home to life and improve insulation.
We removed the outdated wood siding and replaced it with high-performance, exterior wood-looking vinyl siding. The selected T6 CraneBoard® in Greystone was chosen for its excellent insulation properties and stunning aesthetic. Alongside the siding overhaul, we also updated several key exterior features while upgrading to energy-efficient replacement windows.
As local window and siding installers, we stripped the old siding and prepared the surface for new installation. We installed the T6 CraneBoard® over the existing T1-11 siding, adding an extra layer of insulation. The front entry was adorned with Atlas Stone around the brick columns, providing a distinguished and welcoming entrance.
The installation included wrapping the existing rakes and eaves and replacing the rear bay window sill for complete weatherproofing. Moreover, bay windows make great modern window styles for complete home makeovers!
New soffits were installed around the entire perimeter, and we replaced three gable vents and the existing gutters with new 5” gutters to improve drainage and aesthetics. A water table was installed around the entire perimeter for additional protection and style.
Along with the bay window replacement, we removed and replaced two triple-pane double-hung windows and thirteen triple-pane casement windows, all in white, to enhance the home’s energy efficiency. Triple-pane windows offer terrific insulation and sound reduction benefits. The windows came with a lifetime transferable warranty, adding value and peace of mind to this homeowner’s new dream home!
