Welcome Autumn: Celebrate the Season with Cozy Decor, White Pumpkins & Fall Crafts
Autumn is here! Crisp mornings, warms soups on the stove, pumpkins dotting front porches, and leaves putting on a magnificent show. This week we’re celebrating all this season has to offer and we’re bringing autumn’s sweet and plentiful bounty indoors.
Add Sparkle to Your Pumpkin Crafts
We’re creating a fall look that lasts through Thanksgiving by decorating with neutrals. We love using white pumpkins because they’re easy to make and blend beautifully with existing décor. To paint them, grab some acrylic paint and apply a few coats. Use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process if needed!
For those who want a little more glam, add sparkles! Sparkles can be added while your paint is still wet. Want to take your project a step further? Give your pumpkins a fairytale look with sparkly pipe cleaner and/or floral stems from your local craft store. Use a hot glue gun to adhere all of your sparkly extras.

Pick up a vintage frame from the Pettengill Farm’s upcoming Vintage Bazaar and frame a chalkboard with it. Chalkboards can be added anywhere around your home. Change up your message from time to time and add an entertaining message if you’re hosting a get-together.
Fill Your Home with Autumn Aromas
Finally, fully embrace this season by filling your home with autumn’s most delicious aromas.
You’ll need:
½ gallon apple cider
3 cinnamon sticks
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon whole cloves
Directions
Fill a saucepan ¾ full with apple cider. Mix in cinnamon sticks, pumpkin, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and whole cloves. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce to low heat. When the mixture gets low, add more apple cider or water if necessary.
