Recipe:
I can never resist a good smoothie recipe, but when I saw this two-tone one I thought it was a must try! The almond milk and apple provide plenty of natural sweetness and the kale adds a wonderful earthy flavor. I love that you can alter this recipe depending on what you love the most such as a scoop of almond butter for added protein.
Ingredients:
- 2 large bananas, peeled, sliced, and frozen
- 1 heaping handful spinach (about 1.5 cups)
- 1/2 of a large apple, chopped (skin on)
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 7 large strawberries frozen
Blend 1 banana, the spinach, apple, 1/4 cup almond milk until smooth. Then pour into two glasses then rinse out mixer. Then blend 1 banana, 1/4 cup almond milk, and the strawberries together until smooth and pour on top. Add a fun straw, drink to your health and enjoy!
