Requests for food assistance have doubled since 2022, and Coastal Windows & Exteriors also doubled their turkey donation amount from last year. 50 turkeys and 25 Thanksgiving fixin’ bags were donated to North Shore residents through partnerships with The Open Door Food Pantry and Beverly Bootstraps. The donations responded to a rising need for food assistance, ensuring that local families could enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal.
This annual initiative is part of Coastal’s commitment to giving back to the Gloucester community. Inspired by Norman Rockwell’s Freedom from Want, Coastal partnered with Henry’s Market to purchase turkeys, which were distributed to families in need. Beverly Bootstraps received 25 Thanksgiving fixin’ bags with staple items for holiday meals. Coastal’s dedication to alleviating food insecurity was praised by The Open Door’s CEO, Julie LaFontaine, who emphasized the importance of community partnerships during challenging times.
