Q: I’m looking to replace my windows. I have 15 windows total but I only want to replace half of them for now, or maybe even fewer. Do I need to replace all the windows at once?

A: Sometimes homeowners will reach out and ask if they can just replace a couple of windows at a time. This might be due to time or budget restraints (we offer fantastic financing!)

No matter your situation, these are a few considerations to keep in mind for replacing only a few windows at a time.

Your Budget

If paying with cash and on a strict budget, you can split your window replacement into phases. However, this might disqualify you from some promotions later, causing varied costs for windows. The good news: you might still catch great promotions at different times of the year!

If budget isn’t your issue, you might be concerned about the time it takes to replace all of the windows in your home. Here is our advice for dealing with time restraints for new window replacement.

Time Restraints

When you must split up your time between projects, it’s best to replace the windows in the areas where you spend the most time in your home such as your living area or your kitchen. This will help keep these areas more comfortable.

Another approach is to replace the windows in the upstairs area of your home first.

This is especially true if you live with an older furnace, which can increase energy bills significantly. Old windows combined with an old furnace raise your energy costs even more.

Old furnaces create a natural draft where energy is lost through the windows upstairs due to heat rising in your home. When the windows are replaced in the upstairs area of your home, you’ll feel more comfortable as you sleep and wait for the rest of your windows to get replaced. This results in better quality sleep and even increased sound reduction.

Final Advice: Replace All Windows at Once if You Can

If you’re open to financing or you’re able to afford the cash option, replace all of your windows at one time. This allows you to experience the full impact of new window replacement through your entire home.

Whether you’re looking to upgrade all of your windows now or just a few, we’re ready for your call to help bring your home to the next level. Be sure to explore our current promotions and contact us for a quote at [email protected].
