Coastal Windows & Exteriors Honors Roofs for Heroes Recipient with U.S. Coast Guard Flag at MVCC Veterans Recognition Breakfast, Sponsors NSCC Annual Minuteman Service Award Veterans Breakfast
At Coastal Windows & Exteriors, we look to honor those who protect our country at every opportunity possible. Two of our proudest moments this year was supporting and sponsoring the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce Veterans Recognition Breakfast Program and the North Shore Chamber of Commerce Salute to Veterans Breakfast Event.
Both annual event brings together local businesses, veterans, and community members to recognize and honor the service and sacrifices of our military heroes. Sponsoring this event is our way of saying THANK YOU to all military personnel—past, present, and future.
4th Annual Minuteman Service Award Presentation at NSCC
The NSCC Salute to Veterans Breakfast Event is a celebration of veterans and military members. The event also includes a presentation of the 4th annual Minuteman Service Award.
Launched in 2021, the Minuteman Service Award recognizes “remarkable acts of selfless dedication and outstanding leadership to the nation on behalf of active-duty military or veterans.”
Coastal Windows & Exteriors was selected as an honoree in 2022 for their Roofs for Heroes initiative. Originating at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mission is to give away free roofs to local veterans who’ve bravely protected our country. The roof is donated at no cost to the veteran, and protects what matters most with a sound roof over their heads.
Karen Andreas, President and CEO of the North Shore Chamber, said that “Coastal Windows is a shining example of a local business that gives back to its community. Coastal Windows is truly deserving of this prestigious award for their outstanding work the company does on behalf of veterans,” Andreas said.
MVCC Vet Breakfast Event: Honoring Roofs for Heroes Recipient Bill Kelly with U.S Coast Guard Flag
On November 1, 2024, Coastal Windows & Exteriors’ Marketing Director, Tyler Falconer—a U.S. Navy veteran himself—had the honor of presenting the gift of a U.S. Coast Guard flag to Bill Kelly. Kelly is a distinguished retired Coast Guard veteran and the 4th recipient of our Roofs for Heroes Initiative, part of our veteran roofing commitment. He received a free GAF roof from Coastal Windows & Exteriors in the fall of 2023 as part of our veteran roofing program.
With a cold and wet winter forecasted by Farmers’ Almanac, Kelly, along with the other Roofs for Heroes recipients, will have peace of mind and protection from a new roof. Veterans like Bill Kelly and our past recipients have inspired us to keep expanding this mission.
Seeing firsthand how a roofing replacement donation can lift a financial burden and bring peace of mind inspires us to continue this program year after year. It’s not only about providing shelter but also about building a network of support and gratitude. You protect our country; we protect your home!
In 2022, Coastal Windows & Exteriors sponsored the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce Veterans Recognition Breakfast Program—presenting Robert Moreau as the third winner of the Roofs for Heroes Initiative.
Coastal Windows & Exteriors Continues The Roofs for Heroes Legacy for New England Veterans
Our Roofs for Heroes program began as a response to the unique needs of our community’s veterans, providing a state-of-the-art GAF roofing system at no cost. The free roof is a promise to protect, just as our veterans have protected us.
Each roofing replacement donation is designed to deliver unmatched durability and energy efficiency, essential for those living in New England’s often harsh weather conditions. With its lifetime warranty and advanced 6-layer system, each roof donated provides a lasting solution for our heroes.
GAF Roofing: Protecting Our American Heroes
What’s in a GAF roofing system? Each of our Roofs for Heroes recipients receives a free roof, ready to defend against New England’s worst elements:
- Leak Barrier: Protects vulnerable roof areas from leaks caused by wind-driven rain and ice dams.
- Roof Deck Protection: Provides an extra layer of defense against moisture infiltration.
- Starter Strip Shingles: Ensures a secure, wind-resistant edge for the first row of shingles.
- Shingles: Offers superior durability, color, and style for weather resistance and aesthetic appeal.
- Ridge Cap Shingles: Enhances protection at the roof’s highest stress points while adding dimension.
- Attic Ventilation: Regulates attic temperature and moisture to improve energy efficiency and roof lifespan.
With our Roofs for Heroes program returning in 2025, we look forward to providing more veterans with the shelter and peace of mind they deserve through veteran window replacement programs and siding replacement options.
